notice: meant to post yesterday but the ncaa tournament had me busy watching the boilers… it was part of a real bad 2 days for me, which caused me to lose quite a bit.. still up fairly decent but gotta be calm and not give into tilt anymore and slow down and realise this isn\’t all going to happen in a week.

OH… better day today… didn\’t make it back on yesterday.. was celebrating Purdues big win against those Washing Huskies… haha.. I love how espn.. any media for that matter outside of local that give the big ten absolutely no credit.. Glad they won it.. they deserved it for sure! especially since it was basically a home crowd out there in portland.. anyway.. I bombed out yesterday… I was losing everything i bet at on the tables.. getting sucked out an unbelievable amount of times.. I quit.. thankfully… but before I did that like an idiot I stepped up to .05/.10 multi tabeling and managed to lose another 6 bucks quick… stupid stupid stupid… calmed down…eventually.. after I got off the computer of course… and refocused… man I hate Tilt… fought it today for a while too.. played 938 hands today and finished 3.00 up.. stayed calm and focused… also i Stepped up to 6 tables.. four tables was going a bit slow for me.. and I think i was trying to create moves when I should of just been playing tight at this level… this helps me with that… also can\’t focus too much on the bad suck outs… I read an article today that kinda spoke about the beginning stuff again.. don\’t make a big pot if you don\’t have a big hand etc etc.. got me thinking a little bit… also on Holdem Manager I noticed nearly all my losings are coming to TPWK (top pair weak kicker) with weak draws… so i did manage to stop doing that.. except once (I had q/9 in the bb and it checked around.. i checked of course and flop was 499.. i bet out with 3 players.. to 10 cents.. one caller, one fold… turn was a J, i bet out 45 cents.. guy goes over the top with stats 55/8/2 thought for a few.. and figured I had him… he turns over A9 … good old kicker got me… if anyone wants to throw out an opinion about that hand let me know.. i thought and reviewed it a few times.. and just figured I had to play it (my stack was at 1.64 his was 1.50).. maybe Im wrong.. let me know… well my graph has taken a dive.. sorry I haven\’t posted it lately.. its going up again..  I just haven\’t had as much time lately.. (im sure i\’ll have more time once i get it back to whre i was lol) basically it took a hard nose dive and then i road tilt out for about another hour after that.. not good… my roll is almost doubled again from where i started but i still need about 3 more dollars to get to double again…i did come to realise today that im just gonna grind grind grind, hope i stay on top, but quit focusing on wins/losses… i flopped a set today and lost to a bigger flopped set and ddin\’t even blink or bother with it, knew it was the correct move.. ohwell..anyway.. good luck at the tables

Wasn\’t very impressed with myself today.. I wasn\’t really ready mentally to play poker, got in and just took too many shots at pots that were 3 bet at when i raised.. I know better  then that. Finally had my first losing session today, which  bent me a little bit when it happened… I went on a bit of tilt, I got sucked out to 2 straights, and then shoved with 99\’s (WTH was I thinking?) into AA preflop. I\’ll admit a small case of variance tagged me today but I could of managed to save at least one or two Buy Ins that I lost after that to tilt. I got away from the game for a bit, and was able to chill out, I got back in and played alot better but still not my A game.. was able to get back what I lost and then some.. im now 3,559 Hands into this test of my own and myself, today I got ahead of myself and just put too much pressure on myself which turned into pushing harder on the tabe,  If im feeling off again im not playing thats for sure.  Heres the graph for today. Its still progress reguardless and I learned a bit more today then I have the past 2 days so I guess if this teaches me a little lesson and I further my bankroll its still better in the long run! THINK POSITIVE! Im not very good at that sometimes

Another decent day, got a little aggressive in a few spots I shouldn\’t have but still made coin, getting close to doubling up now on my bankroll.. and got my first incentive bonus for playing today which helped out my roll a LITTLE bit.. but hey its free money. Hopefully I can keep rolling decent,  Have not had a losing session yet and have now played 1860 hands. I had free time today and was feeling better about my play so I played well above 500 hands today.  Heres the graph.

I managed to get in another 300 or so hands today… I took a a shot at a few pots and one 3/4.. lost with my AK to 77 once.. also made a few great reads and layed down 2 pair to straights twice tonight. Im feeling stronger but don\’t want to get too confident.. the day is coming I know it… I\’ve only been allowing myself to play no more then 500 hands a day right now.. anything under that just depends on how I feel.  I do alot of thought process during the day and watch deuces cracked videos whenever I have time.  I\’ve definately got poker on the brain and want to continue getting better.  Heres the current graph after tonights play.. nearing 1000 hands now. and still 4 tabeling.

edit: decided to play a little a bit later, (about 110 hands) was slowly making some coin until I was about to close down a table that was left with me and one other player.. and i had 99.. raise, and he called.. flopped K96 he bets .50 and i shove all in… into his pockets KK. ouch. luckily i caught jj about 10 seconds later on another table and was able to go all in and get back most of what i lost there… checked my holdem manager and I was right where I started with, haha not a penny off! made me chuckle.  Im pretty stubborn when it comes to winning and losing so managing a bad case of variance is something I need to work on… another reason for this blog.. Luckily things have been pretty smooth so far but tides can shift at any moment in this game I do know that.

Played 4 tables tonight for a few hours.. managed to get in around 550 hands worth… .01/.02 you run into alot of different play styles. Mostly bad ones.. I was able to bust a couple players that were playing 60/15 style preflop(loose passive) with JJ\’s and KK\’s tonight.. also played a few nice hands with AKo… maybe I can post a few hands some time once I figure this out.. I\’m not saying my play was the best as Im sure variance will kick me in the mouth quite often on here.. but I\’m playing a 15/12 Tag style play myself and it seems to do pretty well at this level… You have to play a little tighter MP but if your in position you can still loosen up some at this level.  People seem to fold pretty often with air but extremely over value top pair too.  I hope to keep running good! Here is a shot of how I stand so far.  My non showdown winnings isn\’t too impressive here, im able to steal blinds decently but if im involved in a hand its hard to get anyone with a pair to lay down.  Hoping that my Showdown Winnings makes up for the loss there…

Decided I would start getting serious at this poker thing at the lowest level of seriousness.. (how serious can you be with a tiny bankroll?) Well Im pretty serious with the intent to use good bankroll management to make some extra cash on the side… I hope this is a blog that shows just that.. This is basically to keep track for myself, if anyone wants to watch this blog and give their thoughts, great., but its basically to track my frame of mind on this roller coaster ride and see how it changes as my habits change.

Im playing on FullTilt.. I had money in at absolute poker but took it out and put in what I had left on FT with the intent of starting fresh.  I\’ll try to post graphs of wins/losses and I am only playing .01/.02NL micro… 4 tabeling until I (unless I go bust first) get to $100.00), then I will move up to .2/.05NL 4 table.
